Construction and working principle of plunger stop valve
Plunger stop valve consists of body,bonnet,stem,plunger,guide ring,seal ring and handwheel.(As shownin the figure) when turning the handwheel,it drives the plunger via the oblique conical face on its end from the conical face of the seat ring or make both coincided to complete open or close of the valve.
In the valve,interference fit is used between both plunger and seal ring and,by means of regulating the tightness of the middle flange?s bolt to have the lateral force produced in the compression of the seal ring make the middle face of the body and the outer circle of the plunger sealed,thus ensuring the valve?s sealing property and completely remove leak outward.The seal,due to use of non-toxic new material of a strong elasticity and a high wearability,is made reliable and durable,thus enhancing the valve’s duration.
Because of the combination of the non-leak merit of the plunger valve and the quick open-close feature of the stop valve,this valve is made a new kind of a brand-new construction and a vast purpose,the superiority is far more than the common stop valves and it is able to replace them and becomes the recommended product for industrial,civil and construction units.
Application standard of plunger stop valve (1). Design and manufacture of the valve per API 600; Specification of flange connected cast steel stop valve and lift check valve.
(2). The length of construction of the valve according to ANSI B16.10
(3). The connecting flange’s dimension of the valve according to ANSI B16.5.
